What it suggests and its limits

#What it's for

Your waiter makes sensible suggestions, but you set the rules: which dishes you want to push, which ones it should never suggest, from what time it can offer a beer or a glass of wine, whether it suggests anything inside «Your order», and the maximum number of AI answers it can give per day.

#What it sells first: featured dishes (★)

The waiter suggests your featured dishes first, followed by the most ordered ones. There are two ways to choose them:

1. On the AI › AI waiter page, under «What do you want her to sell first?», tap your star dishes (up to 8). It's saved instantly.
2. Or in Menu › Dishes: open the dish, turn on Featured («Shown with a star on your menu, and the AI waiter suggests it first.») and tap Save.

Both do the same thing: a featured dish is shown with a ★ on your menu and the waiter suggests it first.

#«What it suggests»: your rules

With the module on, the AI › AI waiter page has the What it suggests section. Every change is saved instantly («Saved»).

#Dishes it never suggests

Tap Add a dish… and choose the dishes you don't want it to suggest (for example, one with a low margin or one that takes a long time). They appear as chips; tap the × to remove one from the list.

«[name] will never suggest them (if asked about them, it answers).» In other words: it doesn't suggest them on its own, but if a guest asks about one, it answers as normal.

#Alcoholic drinks

Choose one of the three:

Whatever the setting, it never offers alcohol to anyone who says they're underage, driving or pregnant, nor to anyone who asks for something alcohol-free. If a guest asks for something by name, it still answers.

#Suggestions in «Your order»

The Suggestions in «Your order» switch turns on or off the suggestions that appear inside the order sheet: «The drink, dessert or coffee it suggests inside the order. Separate from the chat.» When it's off, the chat works exactly the same.

#Daily limit of AI answers

Enter a number in Daily limit of AI answers and tap save. Empty = 250 a day; you can choose between 20 and 5,000. «Protects your credits if someone abuses the chat.»

• The page shows how the day is going: «Today: N of 250 AI answers».
• If the limit is reached, you'll see at the top: «Today's limit of 250 AI answers has been reached. [name] keeps answering with your menu and quick buttons until tomorrow.», with the Raise the limit button.
• It resets automatically the next day.

#Showing or hiding it on the menu

Under «Personality», the Show the AI waiter on your menu switch turns the «Ask me» button on your menu on or off, without cancelling.

#Tips

• Feature only a few dishes: 3 or 4 that give you a good margin and come out well from the kitchen. If everything is featured, nothing stands out.
• Give every dish a good description and photo: the waiter uses your menu to answer.
• Mark the allergens properly: if a dish doesn't have them marked, the waiter says it doesn't have that information.
• If your venue opens in the morning, set alcohol to «From a time» (for example, from 12:00 or 13:00).
• Only raise the daily limit if it falls short on a normal day: check «Today: N of 250» a few times first.
