What's new
The latest additions to your dashboard, your menu and the app.
Updated 26 October 2026
26 October 2026
In the dashboard and the app
- Self-order kiosk: a tablet on the counter or at the entrance where your guests order and pay on their own, like in fast-food chains. They choose with photos and in their language, eat in or take away, and pay on your card reader, with their phone or at the till with their number. The order reaches the kitchen with its number and a TV at your venue shows “Preparing / Ready for pickup”. 14.90 €/month per venue, included in Everything. See Self-order kiosk.
- Staff time clock: your team clocks in, takes breaks and clocks out with their PIN on the POS or their link on their phone, and you see who is in, everyone's hours and overtime, fix punches with a reason without deleting anything and export the working-time record as PDF or CSV. A 9.90 €/month module per venue. See Staff time clock.

In the menu and the app
- Swipe from one dish to the next: with a dish open, your guests swipe left to see the next one and right for the previous one, in the order of your menu (at the end of a category the next one follows) and only among the dishes they can see with their allergen filter or search. The next photo is already loaded; under the photo, «3/12» (or a few dots) shows where they are in the category. On a computer, with the ← → keys or the buttons on the sides. See Dishes.

In the panel and the app
- Welcome guide: the first time someone opens the panel they see, in a few screens, what they can do with their role. Skip it whenever you like and open it again from «See the guide» or from the «?». See The panel.
- «How does this work?» on every screen: the «?» next to the title explains that screen briefly (steps and common mistakes) and links to its part of the manual. See The panel.

On thefoodplease.com
- Modules: everything The Food Please does, explained by what your venue gains from each module, with its price, the plan that includes it and a link to its section of this help centre. It's on thefoodplease.com/modulos and in the website's top menu. The old groups page is now the end of that page: the Group plan, with the same «Let's talk» form.
- The home page is now called «Digital menu for restaurants, POS and much more».

AI Waiter
- Create your waiter: name, voice (waitress, waiter or host), 9 ways of speaking, look, greeting, backstory and favourite dish. New venues start with a name of their own; older ones keep «Laura» until they change it. See Create your waiter.
- Table-side conversation with buttons: every answer comes with next-step buttons, dish options are chosen without leaving the chat and cards show − n +. See What your guests see.
- The bill in the chat: the table's pre-bill, paying, splitting, tips, invoices with tax ID, email and the receipt after paying. See The bill in the chat.
- More control and more safety: dishes it never suggests, your alcohol policy (always, from a time or never) and a daily limit of AI answers (250 by default). See What it suggests and its limits.
- Honest figures: «Sales suggested by [name]» only counts what the guest hadn't asked for, the average ticket is compared with a control group, and you can see «What guests ask». See Suggested sales and what guests ask.
Credits
300 AI Waiter answers included each month; after that, 1 credit per answer. An AI photo costs 15 credits (up to 3 versions). Packs of 5,000, 1,500 and 500 credits that never expire. See Credits.
Photos
Photos you upload are automatically resized to menu size and stripped of hidden data, such as location (GPS). On the menu, while a photo is loading, you see its colour or a grey placeholder instead of a black gap. See Photos.
Languages
The menu buttons and the AI Waiter are available in 8 languages: Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan and Japanese. See Languages.
Privacy
There's a new version of the data processing agreement (it covers the AI Waiter): you'll see a notice to review and accept it. Anthropic is a sub-processor only if you have the AI Waiter turned on. See Privacy, data and AI.
And also
- Full guide: this help centre, linked from «Help and support» in your dashboard and in the app.
- Allergens: a dish with no allergens marked no longer shows up as suitable in the «No…» filters. See Allergens.

Notifications, orders and sidebar
- Instant notifications in the browser (phone, tablet or computer) and in the app, even when the dashboard is closed: new Settings › Notifications tab, a test, a list of devices and what each one is notified about. Your guests can ask us to let them know when their order is ready or their booking is confirmed. See Notifications.

- Your credits in the sidebar on a computer, at the bottom, above your name. See Credits.
