Cookie policy

This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used by thefoodplease.com and the restaurants' subdomains (*.thefoodplease.com), in accordance with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI) and the cookie guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

1. What they are

Cookies are small files the browser stores when you visit a website. We also use browser local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), which works similarly but is not sent to the server with every request.

2. What we use: technical and session cookies only

We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, nor third-party tracking cookies. We load no social-media pixels or third-party analytics tools. Under article 22.2 LSSI these cookies therefore require no consent and we show no banner.

  • jwt.token (cookie): session for the restaurant dashboard and private areas. Expires on logout or after 3 hours.
  • language / lang (cookie): chosen language. One year.
  • dark-mode (cookie): dashboard dark-mode preference. One year.
  • cm.cart, cm.last, cm.cust (local storage, restaurant menu): current cart, tracking of the last order (3 hours) and customer-club token if you joined. Cleared when you clear the browser or leave the club.
  • tfp.sid, tfp.sup.token, tfp.admin (local storage): Market session identifier, supplier dashboard session and internal dashboard session. Until logout.
  • Stripe technical cookies during checkout (e.g. __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid): fraud prevention, managed by Stripe on its own pages.

Own statistics: dish views and usage events are recorded on our servers in aggregate, without cookies that identify the person.

3. How to disable them

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). If you block technical cookies, the dashboard, table ordering and the customer club will not work properly.

4. Changes

If we add analytics or other cookies that require consent in the future, we will update this policy and show a consent mechanism before setting them.
